  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder

  • 2 tablespoons rose water
  • 2 tablespoons dried dates (chopped)

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the vermicelli until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add chopped nuts and raisins. Fry until they turn golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In a separate pot, bring milk to a boil. Add saffron strands and cardamom powder.
  4. Lower the heat and add fried vermicelli. Cook until vermicelli is soft, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add sugar and mix well until it dissolves.
  6. Stir in chopped nuts, raisins, dried dates, and rose water.
  7. Simmer for another 5-10 minutes until the sheer khurma thickens to your desired consistency.
  8. Serve hot or chilled, garnished with additional nuts if desired.

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Wash and soak rice in water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil and fry onions until golden brown. Remove half of the fried onions and set aside for garnish.
  3. Add chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until they turn golden brown.
  4. Add garlic, ginger, green chilies, and tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
  5. Stir in yogurt, coriander powder, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until oil separates.
  6. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and add the soaked rice. Cook until rice is 70% done, then drain.
  7. Layer half of the rice over the chicken mixture. Sprinkle half of the chopped coriander and mint leaves.

  9. Sprinkle garam masala powder and the reserved fried onions on top.
